Why recycle phones and inkjets?
• Over 300 million inkjet and laser printer cartridges are consumed and discarded each year
• Last year alone over 30,000,000 cell phones were replaced or thrown away
• Over 40,000,000 pounds of unnecessary waste is added to landfills by discarded cartridges each year
• Cartridges take more than 1,000 years to decompose
• Recycling helps in lowering the number of cartridges and cell phones discarded each year
• Recycling diverts millions of pounds of unnecessary office waste from landfills
• Lessons can be taught to children and students about the value of recycling
• Participating organizations can earn valuable products and raise funds while helping the environment
Please help us recycle inkjets, and cellphones!
